Job description

  • implement adequate controls and quality assurance processes to detect and address potential compliance problems;
  • ensure that regular information and training is provided regarding new regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures;
  • promote compliance awareness by working proactively and being involved in significant changes affecting the local business operations;
  • develop operational risk policies and standards for risk management;
  • perform operational risk identification and assessment in business units;
  • implement strategic plan to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks;
  • promote compliance awareness by working proactively and being involved in significant changes affecting the local business operations;
  • lead activities with regards to data protection matters, provide guidance to the business;
  • coordinate compliance/operational risk/data protection management within business units and with stakeholders;
  • monitor the performance of the GBS compliance, securing a high response rate in a timely manner;
  • act upon deviations (areas of non-compliance) – coordinate action planning and ensure progress;
  • if relevant, seek for approval of exemptions from specific requirements in the policies;
  • monitor the performance of regulatory compliance testing, follow up on breaches and suggest implementation of new controls and changes in existing controls where appropriate;
  • contribute to further development and maintenance of the Group policies and procedures;
  • ensure that governing documents are available and known to all employees (to be translated to local language if necessary);
  • collaborate with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to ensure training and education of employees in compliance issues, including appropriate induction training for new employees as well as on-going training for all employees and managers;
  • receive and handle matters reported to NCO as a part of the whistle-blower procedure and other reports regarding regulatory compliance and policy requirements;
  • provide reports up on request, to keep the GBS management and Group Compliance updated on progress of compliance efforts;
  • assist internal and external auditors in their requests;
  • as well the Compliance Manager undertakes to perform other tasks delegated by General Manager.


Requirements

  • recognise and empower team members;
  • minimum 3 years experience in compliance, risk management and/or corporate law;
  • proven track record within legal or operation department in senior role preferably in Shared Service Center;
  • ability to interpret and understand laws, regulations and complex issues, investigate and solve problems, and provide workable recommendations and solutions;
  • ability to work in a matrix organization with several reporting lines;
  • ability to process multiple tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy, meeting deadlines;
  • ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally within business units and stakeholders;
  • highly-analytical mindset with strong attention to details;
  • very good English knowledge;
  • proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS word, MS PowerPoint).
