Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Monitor project cost allocation, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
Asist the Finance Manager of the Branch in the preparation of annual budgets and project-specific cost estimates.
Track budget variances and provide analysis to project managers and executives.
Implement cost-control procedures to improve profitability and financial efficiency.
Oversee contract accounting, including progress billing, retention, and variations.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and industry specific rules for construction companies.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Assist the Finance Manager in the daily cash-flow needs and ensure adequate liquidity for ongoing projects.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high-quality financial practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, and WIP management.
Expertise in local tax regulations, VAT, and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Knowledge of SAP is an advance.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience in team management.
High level of accuracy, discretion, and professional integrity.
Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally with operational teams.
