We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist

On behalf of one of our international clients in the mobility and ride-hailing industry, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance team in Bucharest.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier payments and supporting financial operations, with a strong focus on collaboration with sole proprietors (PFA) and compliance with Romanian fiscal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register, verify, and archive incoming accounting documents (invoices, contracts, payment requests);
  • Process payments to suppliers and sole proprietors in accordance with contractual terms and internal policies;
  • Reconcile balances, ensure data accuracy, and maintain documentation for audit purposes;
  • Monitor due dates and communicate proactively with partners regarding financial matters;
  • Verify fiscal details (VAT registration, CAEN code, legal and tax status);
  • Collaborate with the regional finance team to align reporting and procedures;
  • Provide administrative support for partner PFA onboarding, payment queries, and documentation;
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of AP and financial processes.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;
  • 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, payments, or financial administration;
  • Good knowledge of Romanian accounting and fiscal legislation (especially related to sole proprietors);
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision – considered a plus);
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken);
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
