Randstad Romania is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for our client in the pharmaceutical industry.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) to join our client's team at a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry. The role will be based in Romania and will require the MSL to cover 1/3 of the country. You will report to the MSL Manager and work closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and key accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain medical and scientific expertise in relevant therapeutic areas and company products;
  • Identify, establish, and maintain professional relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and Professional Organizations;
  • Provide medical support, training, and facilitate scientific engagement with KOLs;
  • Offer medical education regarding disease states, clinical data, and respond to requests for medical information;
  • Share scientific insights obtained from the medical community with the internal team;
  • Provide medical support for patient access programs and local review committees in accordance with global and local policies;
  • Support medical activities such as advisory boards, congress symposia, hospital meetings, and speaker programs;
  • Serve as a medical resource for internal training, including the sales team;
  • Support company-sponsored clinical research and independent investigator-initiated studies (IIS);
  • Participate in relevant scientific meetings and contribute to the development of key clinical data presentations;
  • Ensure all activities comply with local and global regulations and company policies;
  • Continuously improve professional skills and capabilities.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Medical or Life Science (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry);
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical practice, research, or the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Proven experience in KOL, HCP, or medical community engagement;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Romanian, with good command of English;
  • Experience in public scientific presentations;
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Doctorate (MD, PhD, PharmD, etc.) or Master’s degree in a medical field (Pharmacy, Nursing);
  • Clinical and/or research experience in relevant therapeutic areas (e.g., Cardiology, Nephrology, Hematology);
  • 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry at local, regional, or global levels;
  • 3+ years’ experience as an MSL/Field Medical professional;
  • Strong KOL engagement track record;
  • Experience in clinical research and literature review;
  • Experience in planning and delivering medical training.
