We're recruiting for a major client in the real estate industry, a top player in the field. Our client is looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Manager (HS Manager).
As a Health & Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Health & Safety (H&S), Fire Safety (PSI), and Emergency Preparedness activities across commercial properties. You'll work closely with internal teams, tenants, and public authorities to ensure full compliance with local legislation and internal standards.
Oversee the implementation and enforcement of H&S and Fire Safety policies across office buildings and shopping centers;
Ensure compliance with Romanian legislation on Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Safety;
Conduct periodic risk assessments and inspections for both internal teams and tenants’ fit-out works;
Coordinate H&S and Fire Safety training sessions for employees and relevant stakeholders;
Review and verify technical projects (architecture and installations) from a fire safety/ISU compliance perspective;
Monitor and verify maintenance records of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems;
Prepare emergency evacuation plans and lead simulation exercises;
Liaise with tenants to ensure H&S and Fire Safety requirements are met in leased premises;
Represent the company during inspections or audits conducted by ISU, ITM, or other competent authorities;
Prepare regular reports and propose risk mitigation or performance improvement measures to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related technical field;
Certified Safety Inspector/Expert (SSM) and Fire Safety Technician (Cadru Tehnic PSI);
NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus;
Authorization as Technical Verifier or ISU Project Reviewer – is a strong advantage;
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in real estate or construction;
Excellent knowledge of Romanian H&S and Fire Safety legislation;
Fluent in English (spoken and written);
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with safety reporting tools is a plus;
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
