Our Workmonitor 2025 report shows that a new baseline in the workplace is emerging – where success is no longer defined just by what we do, but also by why we do it, how we do it and who we do it with. 

Talent expectations continue to evolve, shaped by economic uncertainty, technological advances, and changes in the social landscape.

The results of the latest Randstad survey, Workmonitor, with 35,000 respondents from 34 countries, show us that generations Y and Z (i.e. 25-34 and 18-24 years old) are bringing revolutionary changes to the relationship between employers and employees.

Launched in 2003, Randstad Workmonitor now covers 34 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas. The study measures the gap between the reality and the desires of the global workforce and tracks how this is changing over time.

Flexibility in working hours is more important for Romanian employees than the location from which they can perform their work tasks, reveals the spring edition of the Randstad Workmonitor 2022 study. The research results are all the more important as they capture the directions in which the labor market is heading at the end of the 2 years of the pandemic. They signal a revolution in the employee-employer dynamic, led by Generation Z and millennials, which accentuates the pressure that companies feel in identifying and attracting talent, in the context in which a significant percentage of Romanian employees (70%) declare that they are open to the opportunity of a new job.
