HR technologies

Our Use of Human Resources Technologies for Talent Matching and Services

Our ultimate objective is to support people and organizations in realizing their true potential. We believe that the best way to achieve this goal is by combining our passion for people with the power of today's HR technologies. By HR technologies, we mean technologies that help us digitize and improve a variety of recruitment processes.

For example, we use chatbots to improve your experience as a talent. Chatbots give candidates the opportunity to answer questions based on the requirements of the job they are applying for. This is an easy-to-use method by which candidates can:

  • to provide us with relevant information that may not be directly apparent from a candidate's application, profile or CV.
  • to immediately know if their skills meet the essential requirements of a position and if not, to easily explore other positions or identify gaps in their skill set.
  • to respond at any time convenient for the user.

As part of the larger recruiting process, Human Resources technologies allow us to connect candidates with our consultants more quickly. In turn, this enables our consultants to support candidates in exploring available positions and pass suitable candidates to our clients more quickly. HR technologies allow our consultants to find people not only based on the positions they qualify for, but also based on the positions they are interested in.

Our emails may contain an individual "web beacon pixel", unique to each campaign, to tell us whether our emails are opened and to verify clicks on links or ads within the email. We may use this information, among other things, to identify whether our emails are more interesting to users, to ask whether users who do not open our emails want to continue receiving them, and to inform our advertising clients, in aggregate, how many users clicked on their ads. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not want the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you must select the option to receive emails from us in plain text instead of HTML.

Responsible use of HR technologies

Randstad is committed to the ethical and responsible use of innovative HR technologies. Randstad does not use these technologies as a substitute for people or human interactions in any part of its processes. Rather, the way we use HR technologies is meant to make interactions with clients and candidates more personal, relevant and meaningful.

We strive to involve people every time we make decisions that have a significant impact on you. If, in exceptional cases, we may find ourselves in a position to make such decisions based on a fully automated process (ie without human involvement), we will only do so where we are permitted to do so by law and after we have notified.

To ensure that all candidates are treated fairly, we take steps to avoid bias where we use HR technologies. E.g:

  • We regularly test the results generated by these technologies to identify possible lack of impartiality and fairness.
  • We regularly rely on the expertise of specialists to improve how we identify and eliminate bias.
  • Both our consultants and search and selection algorithms are thoroughly trained and always work together.
