Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Analyzes requirements from the business; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities.
- Analyzes and monitors implementation of business rules through review of documents which include business requirements, design documents, test plans, and other specification documents.
- Coordinate requirements walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs
- Accountable for collaborating with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifying solution gaps, and available capabilities, and defining solutions to meet the business need. Manage Stakeholder’s concerns regarding technical issues in their areas
- Contributes to the development of project plans.
- Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open-source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.
- Translates business domain understanding and context to technical capabilities for technical architects and development teams.
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Produces system design documents
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the system
- Responsible for examining the architecture of the current system and working with business and technical staff to recommend solutions that result in more effective systems
- Collaborate and ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture to shape EA guardrails, standards, patterns, and frameworks
- Stay abreast of current trends/technologies in consumer space and be aware of technology initiatives from other best-in-class retailers and technology companies globally
- Support prototype development efforts
- Support the adoption of best practices in the areas of technology integration, cloud computing, managed services, process improvement, technology innovation, and implementation
- Support program teams in executing with quality, providing support, best practices, innovation, and strategy
- Ensure work scope is maintained and solutions are implemented
- Give direction on how to leverage technology to solve a business problem
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Integration Technologies
- Cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies
- Big Data Analytics, Data Architecture & Modeling
- Strong production capabilities in PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Excel, JIRA, Confluence
- Functional knowledge of ERP modules and functionalities (e.g. SAP)
- Experience working with (or, ability to quickly learn & master) a variety of technologies including web, mobile and social
- Experienced in traditional SDLC and Agile frameworks
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
