Experience in a production environment. You also need to have some technical insight.

The most important thing is that you are willing to work. Motivation is key! You need to find a balance between your machine and your input. If you use the machines well, they do all the work for you!! You also need to have an eye for detail. You always need to strive for optimal high quality results.

Very good communication in English or French.

Willingness to learn Dutch. This is very important. We are looking for candidates who are willing to settle in Belgium long-term/permanently!!

This work is highly dependent on seasons. During calmer seasons you will be helping out in other departments (warehouse, technical,…). You need to be open to do this. 

We are looking for an operator who will be responsible for a production zone. 

Your tasks consist of: managing and controlling the machines in your zone. You will be active in one zone but will be taught all machines in all zones. A few examples of different zones are: pea washing department, blanching department (where all vegetables are blanched in boiling water), freezing tunnel (where all vegetables pass through and become frozen),….

You will adapt and set the machine, bring it up to speed, do quality checks, solve operational problems, communicate with colleagues, solve basic technical issues,…

Your goal is to transform a basic raw material into a high quality, frozen vegetable product at the right speed in a clean environment.

You will be working in a two shift system:

• 4h57 – 13h00 
• 12h57 – 21h00

During weekends sometimes you will be on standby.

Monthly contracts for 6 months via Randstad and after this time and a good evaluation the candidate will get a permanent contract.

Starting salary between €17-18 gross/hour 

+ €0.54 gross/hour shift compensation for early shift and + €0.61 gross/hour shift compensation for late shift

• extra compensation when you do overtime
• after 23 working days you will receive meal vouchers of €7 per worked day
• travel from home-place of work is paid following the official rate

In the beginning Randstad will provide temporary housing at 120 euro per week. The accommodation is around 25 minutes away from the company.  This rent will be deducted off your salary. After a few months you will make the step to permanent housing. We can provide support in finding a place.
