Responsibilities:

• ​Contribute to development and on time delivery of fuel, battery and SCR systems and components
• Proactively create and change CAD 3D data
• Perform ongoing vehicle package clearance analysis
• Take responsibility for creation, review with drawing checker and change of drawings
• Apply internal and customer requirements to drawings
• Implement standard special characteristics on internal drawings and check applicability
• Be responsible for the datum system (request confirmation from gauge supplier, quality, plant, manufacturing, PDT (product development team)
• Understand and apply customer OEM standards
• Application of internal guidelines, GD&T concepts, standards and components
• Data management in PLM system
• Maintain internal Standard Check Lists
• Perform Simulations in the Design Loop
• Actively participate in Design and Drawing Reviews
• Support design cost calculations
• Support creation/ improvement of standards, guidelines and best practices
• Data transfer with DDX Trufusion
• Release of CAD data in customer database, when required
• Regular business trips to manufacturing locations to understand production process

Requirements

• University Degree in engineering or a comparable education
• Experience in automotive industry
• Very good 3D-knowledge in CATIA5 or Unigraphics NX
• Very good 2D-knowledge in CATIA5 or Unigraphics NX (Drafting)
• Very good knowledge in technical/engineering drawing and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Very good knowledge and experience in designing light weight structural parts
• Good knowledge and experience with designing of plastic composite materials (eg. fiber reinforcements)
• Knowledge in compression molding and injection molding technology preferred (benefit)
• Knowledge in tool making and plastic technology preferred
• Good English skills are required. German would be a benefit.
